Anybody know the production numbers for the 2 Mercedes 2000 SL500 Designo Editions, the Black Diamond and the Slate Blue edition. I've been with the forum since 7/2006 and I've never seen your requested numbers. Try contacting MB USA. FWIW, they would be a subset of the 7,864 SL500 units. This reduces the life of the engine oil so it should be changed more frequently. As the oil circulates it passes through a filter. Mercedes Benz uses a cartridge type filter that fits in a housing on the 119 V8 engine. This needs to get replaced every time you change the engine oil.
